"[on buying a private island] Money doesn't buy you happiness, but it buys you a big enough yacht to sail right up to it."
— Johnny Depp

Day six, our last full day, we will pack up and head back to Colorado tomorrow. We are ready, it's been a great week, but we are usually suitable for 5 or 6 days and then prepared to head back home. The marina is bustling, there is a slight smoke covering, but I see no sign of a fire.

We had a great day yesterday; we headed to the pool and talked to Randy and Darlene. Then, we came back to the room, got dressed, headed for our daily street taco excursion, and ended up at Sammy's bar. We had a couple of drinks, some chips, and salsa from hell; it's the hottest thing I've put in my mouth since that Totino's pizza when I was 16.

We walked back and took a quick nap before heading to the VIP club and again running into our friends. We had a drink with them and then came back and ordered room service. We watched a movie before going to sleep about 9:00, I'm sure there is a hell of a nightlife happening around us, but we are morning people with a penchant for early to bed evenings.

I suspect we will head to get a small bite to eat, then meet our friends; we plan to go to the Office today for lunch. It's an annual tradition, with great food and drinks on the beach. As I was sitting on the balcony, ready to head to get our early evening cocktail, they hung up an 8-foot swordfish in front of our balcony. It was an immense beast, and I wondered how many people could be fed from that being, 100, 250?

I'll share a photo of the yacht I've been fawning over; the story is that the owner is from the UK, he docks here for a couple of weeks before heading to Playa. I guess this is his small one? His staff is busy readying it for its next voyage; I had a pontoon once, I have no interest in owning a boat or a recreational vehicle. Boats and RV's are the same to me, something massive I would have to maintain, and I'm about as mechanical-minded as a cow.

I'll work from the balcony, and then we will head and get our COVID test to get home safely. The resort folks warned us they were getting a lot of false positives and that we might have to take two tests to get an accurate result. It seems a little funny to me, but hey, just tell me what to do, and I'll do it.

I just looked at the CDC, and Mexico is now at a level 4 with 135 other places in the world that are deemed "hot." I would share that both of us feel great; we've been moving and getting good rest; for us, movement and vitamin D have been our best treatments for staying healthy the last couple of years. I should note the source of the article is CNN, so it's probably about 25% accurate.

Winter is ebbing, and I'm starting to research our concert schedule this year. My friend Kent sent me a note about the Avett's playing three days at Red Rocks, we will go to a show or two, and we plan to catch the boys when they pay Garfield Park just down the road from our Indy home. Last year, we did ten shows at Red Rocks; we hope to do twelve this year.

Well, that will end this collection of words. I trust you live your best life; you are content with your existence and don't look at others and want their lives. People work hard to create their best life and if you are envious of others, work on your life, use your gifts and talents and make the world you wish to experience. You only have one opportunity to create this life, don't waste it being a dud.
