Hello, I woke up to a photo of our daughter holding our grandson. How cool is that? I was told to get in the shower, and we would see him, but I reminded my wife I had a daily duty to empty my mind. This will be a short soup, or I’m going to be in trouble.

Yesterday our daughter and her husband stopped by to deliver Joleen, their magical black cat that talks and is a friend of PVHT. Immediately they began licking each other, they are buddies, and it’s good to have her around. She will stay with us until Bo Anson is a month old and can hold his own against the tiny black magical cat.

I had a couple of in-person meetings yesterday; it was nice to shake hands and look others in their eyes.  Things are returning to normal, but we did learn some lessons this last couple of years, and I’m thankful for the time of reflection.

I suspect we will head to meet our grandson, get hugs from our family, get lunch, and head back home. I plan to work from here today; I have a 4:30 appointment to catch up with a friend close to the house.

Speaking of friends, I recently had a wonderful reconnection with an old friend. I shared we were at the Dugout, and I ran into him, and yesterday was his birthday, so I sent him a Cameo. We used to be excellent friends, and then business got in the way of our friendship. So, I texted him and asked if we could have lunch with one caveat, no business talk. He agreed, and I got my friend back, making me happy.

So, I will take my happiness to the hospital and hold my grandson. My grandfather’s name is Granson, and My wife’s grandmother’s name is Nae Nae, so this begins a new chapter in our lives.
