Good morning and happy Monday. I trust you had a great Easter weekend, we did, and I’m thankful for friends and family. We had a busy day. We woke up at the Warrick Hotel, got brunch at the iconic Dozens, and then headed to do our final load out of the condo. It took us about 3 hours, but the unit is empty, many great memories were had, but it’s time to move on.

We left there and headed to our friend’s kid’s apartment; we gave him pots, pans, plates, bowls, and coffee cups. We gave him our condo’s essentials since we didn’t need them, and this was his first place. We hung around there and then came home to move the rest of our belongings into the mountain house.

We made supper, watched some tube, and got to bed early since we were out late Saturday night. I got my 9 hours of sleep and am ready for the day. This morning we will pack up our Forerunner and begin our journey back east. Tonight, we will stop in Salida, KS.  A couple of days ago, I shared that I would no longer be writing from my magical purple bean bag. Still, due to a glitch in our communication, the mover did not bring our new couch in, and so confidently, I can say today is our last time; thank you, magical purple bean bag, for all the words.

I pulled up my Ground News app; the war in Ukraine is still raging, Biden mandates U.S. Steel to be used in infrastructure upgrades, and a young man who shot up a mall in South Carolina was released on bond for $25,000. This seems a little odd, the man/woman/transgender tried to kill multiple people, and he/she/they are sitting at home watching The Price is Right Reruns?

We have selected the book Bold to listen to on the way home. The book is about going big, creating wealth, and impacting the world. That will get us halfway, and then we will listen to Dare to Lead by Brown. We use our travel time to become better owners/leaders. It allows me to fodder for my soup; I share what I have learned, so I’m not listening for me; I’m listening for all.

It’s a beautiful sunny day here, a little chilly, but I suspect it will warm up; we will welcome the nice weather during our drive; spring travels trump winter trips. I need to pack and prepare for our trip; I hope the words find you in a great place; I hope you had a great time with family and friends this weekend, and I hope this week allows for the building a giving of a treasure.

I heard on NPR yesterday that although most think the pandemic is over, it’s not, so don’t relax, wear your mask, and keep your social distance. Well, NPR, I’m not buying it, and neither are 90% of the rationally sane people in this world. If you want to continue to control people, your continued failures of policy, compelled actions, and nonsense, give it a shot, but after two-plus years, the American people are done.
