"Constantly exposing yourself to popular culture and the mass media will ultimately shape your reality tunnel in ways that are not necessarily conducive to achieving your Soul Purpose and Life Calling. Modern society has generally ‘lost the plot.’ Slavishly following its false gods and idols makes no sense in a spiritually aware life."

Well, good morning, how are you? I didn’t see you sitting there; welcome to the word soup kitchen. You can put your hat and coat in the foyer, let me get you some coffee, and soon we will have a steaming hot bowl of soup we can devour, soup not for your stomach but your mind. We worked around the house yesterday; my wife cleaned a little, I had some chores, and we took a car full of cardboard to the recycling center. I’m embarrassed about the amount of cardboard she and I can generate in a week; it’s a weekly task.

I read a little during the day, got a solid afternoon nap, and celebrated Angie’s 50th birthday. It was a surprise, the family drove in, and as a bit of shock, our son-in-law made the trip from FL for 24 hours to see his wife, baby, and mother on her birthday. We got home about 9:00, late for us, but we did catch a couple of episodes of the show Candy on Hulu; if you are looking for a show, a friendly little show about sex, friendship, and murder. Candy is not what she seems.

I’m guessing today we will take a walk with Parker Van Halen and work around the house; I think we will take it easy. We have a big week ahead. I just pulled up our Ring Camera and got a peek at the Western Sunrise; I’ll share it with you; I love our time here in Indy but miss my western sunrises.

There was a shooting in Buffalo, New York. It’s labeled a racist attack by a white man; it’s been a while since the narrative was fulfilled; this will be the national news story for a few weeks. It fits what the media want you to believe that we are in a race war; whites hate people of color. Remember, there have been a few people of color shootings, but that is not national news when a person of color shoots up a train car, try and find that story today. Be careful of those that highlight stories that only fit a chosen narrative. Try and use your critical thinking skills to get a holistic view of what is going on in our country and world.

In other news, there was a curfew for young people after the Milwaukee shootings injured 21. Compared to the first article I shared, there is no mention of race, so we only guess the race of the shooters. I love this quote “Experts believe stress and pressures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic contribut3e to the violence. Johnson blamed easy access to guns. When it’s a white person shooting, it’s racial; when it’s someone else, it’s the pandemic’s fault. I wouldn’t say I like it when anyone shoots or gets shot, but let’s agree that we treat each story with the same finesse that each deserves. As I have written more than once, “the demand for racism is much less than the supply.”

Finland wants to join NATO. This is excellent news if you are interested in watching WW III. The military-industrial complex is frothing at the mouth to enter the war on the other side of the world. It spoke volumes when Biden visited Lockheed Martin in Troy, Alabama. I think we are on the verge of feeding the machine. We can send billions of dollars in weapons to another country but can’t seem to fix problems at home; why is that?

Remember North Korea? The country is run by the plump little man that suppresses his people. Here’s an exciting news bit, just this week, they were exposed to COVID. How did they avoid the pandemic for two years? What did they do aside from locking their citizens in camps and limiting them to entertaining missile launches?  I have so many questions about why we did what we did during the pandemic; I don’t think history will be kind to the likes of anyone in power in 2020.

It's a wild world out there, and I’m sitting in the Midwest trying to figure out what’s next. What kind of world will our grandkids inherit? Will it be a racist, war-filled, virus-controlled, or uncontrolled experiment? Are Will freedoms lost for the sake of the good of the collective? Is this the end of individual rights?

There are still some silly people out there clamoring for you to wear an N95 mask. In a recent Time magazine article, the title was “I’m still wearing my N95 mask because I care about society’s most vulnerable.” The indication here is that you don't care about the vulnerable if you don’t wear an N95 mask. If you choose not to mask, you are selfish and don’t care about our world’s “most vulnerable.” Hey lady, you can wear your mask, you can virtue signal to your crazies, but most of us will be free to breathe fresh air and let those who need extra protection use their critical thinking skills to weigh their own risk.

I was born in a country where you could do anything you wanted, say anything aside from “fire” in a crowded theater, but today we live in a controlled environment. Misinformation today is facts tomorrow; facts today are deemed misinformation tomorrow. Who is the purveyor of what is true and what is false? Remember lively debate; we could hear both sides and then conclude? Those days are gone; careful how you ingest what you are told. Don’t believe everything you hear, including the words from a white guy 52 years old that some have deemed to have significant white privilege claimed by other people with substantial white privilege.
