“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
— Dr. Seuss

Oh 52, I feel you, my friend, welcome to my world; 51 just left, told me to tell you high, this vessel has many more years to go, let me try you on for size.  A good birthday; I taught some Sherpa knowledge, then spoke on a panel on cybersecurity.  How many cybersecurity panels have you watched? Keep watching a topic that changes daily.

I took some me time, read, napped, enjoyed the day with my dog.  My wife got home; I did a little more work before we UBERed to meet my friend Jesse, a 22-year-old entrepreneur; we had a drink then our teammates Molly and Dak showed up along with Mr. Ball.  We dined at Salt on Mass Ave; we had some oysters, fine wine, main dishes; it was a glorious way to end my 51st run around the sun.

Facebook is a blessing and a curse.  It’s a curse when folks you know well spew hate and anger knowing they would never say those things to your face, but it’s a blessing on your birthday when many, I won’t share how many, wish you a happy birthday.   I also got a glorious amount of texts, and it makes me happy that I have so many friends and family; never forget life is about the human connection.

My wife, I love saying that, is in the kitchen organizing things; we’ve got a full day, she’s headed up to Muncie later to meet with one of her accounts, I too need to run to Muncie, then head back to Indy to meet a long time client. On my way, I need to run and get some testosterone; it’s a   little overdue; I’ve been busy, time to get a shot. When you get older, you need assistance.

We’ve got dinner plans with some friends tonight at my favorite Indy restaurant; it’s a hidden gem; check out Geraldines in our hood if you feel a little adventurous.   My family is coming to town this weekend to celebrate my recent event.  I’ll order some tacos for Saturday from Torta’s Taco’s our go-to caterer for events.  We’ve got about 40 folks coming over on Saturday and then a family race day.

We’ve got some air in our water lines; my wife has opened up all water portals; I think we solved the issue.  How does one get air in their water lines? We suspect it’s due to our leaving and heading west.  I want to share that as I write my daily soup, I play with my dog.  Parker brings me toys, and in-between paragraphs, I throw various things over the couch only to be retrieved and throw them again, this is my life, and I love it.

I got some photos of myself and some friends at our recent Synergize event.  If you are in the East Central Indiana area and are not a part of Synergize, what the hell is wrong with you.  It’s a collection of people who are not jerks to raise money for various causes.  Find Aaron Stanton on LinkedIn, use code Ansonross, and he will connect with you, and you can learn more about the movement to change the world.

I need to run a shorter version of the soup, but soup nonetheless, I hope you got a nugget, maybe a carrot or piece of celery.  I never know the impact or lack of effect of these words; I don’t do it for you; I do it for me (#selfish).  My mind needs to be cleaned each day before I can continue, and thus this is the cleansing of my mind.  Be kind, be open to others’ opinions, don’t judge, give a little to others, see you tomorrow.
