"Love, being in love, isn't a constant thing. It doesn't always flow at the same strength. It's not always like a river in a flood. It's more like the sea. It has tides; it ebbs and flows. The thing is, when love is real, whether it's ebbing or flowing, it's always there; it never goes away. And that's the only proof you can have that it is real, and not just a crush or an infatuation or a passing fancy."

I think my word for the day is exhausted. Over the last three days, my wife and I walked 30 miles, got home about 9:00 p.m., and fell into bed; a fantastic and memorable weekend, a definite highlight reel for the future. We are working from our condo today, picking up the pup later this afternoon; we just scored a dog-sitting gig on Thursday; it should be a good week. I slept 9 hours, woke up to my wife and

me spooning, isn't love grand? Waking up with the love of your life after an adventurous weekend of music, great food, and drink.

Today is a recovery day; according to my Oura, my calorie count has been set low; I'm being told to settle down, take it easy, no problem, my ring friend. I've got work to do; I might take an early afternoon siesta; I built that into my schedule today. Tomorrow is March first; where did the first two months of the year go?

On Friday, I saw a news report about Aaron Rodgers wanting to be the highest-paid quarterback in the league. The commentators were calling him selfish, but if any commentators could earn more, they would; why is it selfish to want the most money for your skills? I hope Indy or Denver find cash and become Superbowl bound.

We had had some activity at our Indy home, a couple of people standing on the porch, jumping our fence getting in our back yard. We have feet on the ground checking on it, but it looks like the bad guys are casing our joint. But, I know Batman, we should be OK.

It looks like the Ukrainians are not standing for the little maniacal dwarf's advances. Instead, it sounds like they are doing some peace talks, good stuff Ukraine, stay calm, and carry on. Is this another example of failed foreign policy? Will this impact the midterm elections? The polls are not looking good for one side; get your surfboard; there is a wave coming.

We arrived home to a Sick Bay; she planned to head back to Indiana yesterday, but she's got flu-like symptoms; she's going to stay here for a day or two, poor kid. So she is quarantining in her room; we will slip porage and crackers under the door. We will play doctor until we leave for the mountain house; we make our return to our casa in time to make some dinner.

The state of the union is tomorrow; I'm looking forward to watching what the plan is for moving our country forward. It seems the pandemic is not much of a thing anymore; to some, it never was; to some, it was the focus of their life for two years. Hopefully, they can let it go, and we can get back to some version of normalcy.

These are strange times, but I see a lot of opportunities. Sometimes, there is a gift and opportunity in everything; it takes time to unwrap the present, but keep searching; some packages have multiple layers of tape and paper. Remember that not all gifts are physical.

It's 38 degrees and sunny, looks to be about 60 later today; I think that spring has sprung, it's going to be almost 70 the rest of the week; this is the weather I love when in Colorado. The snow will begin melting, and by Friday, it will be time to seek out a terrific hike; we will take our pup and our dog sitting project on a hike Thursday afternoon.

Well, I think that is all I have left in the tank, a day of recovery is ahead, I'll take it easy, let my body build back some strength, try and avoid whatever Bay has, and I hope to have a great week of movement. Unfortunately, we have no coffee at the condo, so some Chai Tea sponsors these words. Tea is good now and then, but I suspect I'll pick up Starbucks on our way west. We will stop at the grocery store on the way home and get some supplies for the week; coffee is on the list.

I trust these words find you well; I hope that you have a big smile knowing that spring is coming or for some of us is here, we will ramp up our amount of hiking, moving more, eating, and drinking less, this is my favorite time of the year. If you are troubled, remember that life ebbs and flows, and you must remember to enjoy both.

"Love, being in love, isn't a constant thing. It doesn't always flow at the same strength. It's not always like a river in a flood. It's more like the sea. It has tides; it ebbs and flows. The thing is, when love is real, whether it's ebbing or flowing, it's always there; it never goes away.
