"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."
— Albert Einstein

Good morning, happy Sunday; I trust you are well, we are, things are swelling here, we have company.  Dave and Anna met us for a hike yesterday at noon, then we went to see our friend Ian play some tunes at Brooks Place Tavern and then headed home to have some of Dave's famous margaritas, and we had strip steak and shrimp salad.  My queen is an executive chef.

We spent the evening laughing, loving, and enjoying each other's company.  They are still asleep, their dog Molly provides a friend for Parker Van Halen.  I got up in the middle of the night to let out the dog, and there was a bear and a cub down the hill.  This morning I noticed they had grabbed a bag of our birdseed, looks like they too had a feast.

About three months ago, we bought an indestructible bear.  This morning we woke to the indestructible bears stuffing all over the floor. As of the writings of these words, she has said bear and is ripping the stuffing out of its face. So is there a direct correlation between last night's bear and cub and her newfound ability to chew the face off this bear?  We may never know.

Today I suspect I'll make breakfast for the crew, they will head back to Parker, and we will celebrate our friends Dave and Nicole's wedding.  They are getting married soon; their staff is throwing them a little gathering; all our local friends from our favorite place will be stopping by for a drink to celebrate this fantastic couple.

We have another month here before flying back to Indiana to see our family, friends, and clients. After that, it will be a quick trip, then back to CO; then we will do winter in the Midwest.  Our solar panels will be fueling the grid when we are gone; this week, the electrical company will come out and give us the nod to start creating our electricity using the sun; it's a cash flow neutral transaction, not sure why everyone up here does not turn their home into a power station.

Our garden continues to grow; we should have an excellent harvest come fall; the "flowers" are blooming, water, air, and love make for a hefty bounty.  My wife's flowers continue to provide visual PQ reps; we live in paradise.  The added sounds of our wind chime are a reminder of our paradise life. I'm happy and content with the life we have built for ourselves, friends, food, drink, hiking, experiencing life from 8232 feet above sea level.

My wife went back to bed; I'm up alone with the dog, some coffee, and penning a few thoughts about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Dave and Anna, and Molly are in the wing; it's a beautiful morning; I'll have to walk down and the bag of birdseed the bear left on our narrow pathway.

I've checked out of the news for a couple of days; I'll ease my way back in tomorrow. But, for now, I want to live micro and let the macro flow; so much of life is out of our control; maybe we take some time and focus on what is in our power before worrying about the things outside our purview.

In a few moments, I'll stack my bean bags, run my dry mop over the floor, unleash my robot vacuum and return our hardwood to its pristine shape. It's a daily exercise, my contribution to our clean home, get a dog, they said, but there was no mention of the thousands of tiny white hairs.  Trust me, her love is worth it, but damn, there is a lot of hair!

Well, I hope these words find you in a good space; I hope you too hear the sounds of our wind chime where ever you are. Life is a gift that is meant to be unwrapped every day. That is why we call it the present. So smile, lean into whatever presents itself to you and embrace the sun on your face; you are a miracle, as am I, and I think that lost on most.
