Well, look who showed up, my friend the camel.  It’s either hump day or the peak of the mountain, you decide; since I live on top of a mountain, I’m going with the mountain, but you may choose to select the hump.  So how are you? 6:20 here, I slept in, made coffee, fed the dog; it’s a good morning here, and I trust yours is as well.

A good day yesterday; I had some clean-up work in the morning, jumped on a couple of Zoom calls, and then met with a new client in New Mexico. It’s an agency looking to grow, so they hired me for my six-hour Sherpa program.  I plan to work with two agencies a month for the rest of the year.  My Ted Talk’s first cut dropped yesterday; I reflect on 2020 and what it meant for myself and my family.

I have five more sections I’ll release over the coming weeks; I talk about living in a simulation, using your phone when on the toilet, a litany of personal observations in this crazy world we now live.  Add to that my next book will be dropping this year; I’m one click away from publishing, but for some reason am holding it back.  I will know the right time to release; I have learned to use my gut.

I went down the hill to my doctor’s office.  I got my blood draw, a vitamin B-shot, a T-shot, and a COVID antibody test.  I like to know if I have been exposed to COVID.  I have once had COVID but had no symptoms, and I suspect I’ve been exposed many times over.  Regarding my transferring to others, I am aware of no friend, colleague, or stranger I have met with has contracted the virus after our visit.  This virus is a unique disease.  An update on my friend Patrick, he’s home, recouping; I suspect he will make a full recovery.  Thank you for your prayers and positive energy; you may take a tad of credit for Patrick’s good fortune.

We will get our shots when back in Indiana.  We have tried to get them out in CO, but it’s not an easy task.   Since we are heading back to IN in May, we can’t get our first shot and then be back for the second.  My want of the Johnson and Johnson shot got eliminated yesterday when they pulled that opportunity.  I wonder how the seven or so million people that got the J and J are feeling this morning.

I’m a big fan of Bill Burr, the comedian; I listen to his podcast twice a week. He has now received both shots, and his idea is to continue to wear the mask when in public.  He shits on those that don’t wear a mask after vaccination. However, I respect his decision but don’t understand why he needs a mask after immunization.  You cannot transmit nor get the virus, so why wear a face covering?  I think the messaging by the CDC and FDA is a little flawed.  They produce this magic shot and then say, but you still need to social distance and wear a mask.  That makes no sense to me.  You do you, but let me do me.

We are scheduled to go down the hill and have a walking lunch.  We will do a one or two-mile walk around Solans Lake, then dine with an old friend. Dan was one of the first people I met when arriving in CO; we still connect and share life, liberty, and happiness.   We will head back up, work in the afternoon and then meet our new friends Keith and Kathy at Brooks for dinner. They just got back from Turkey hunting; no birds this time, but they will be heading back next week.

Tomorrow morning I have my first BRAG West board meeting.  I’ve got 21 folks scheduled to join to learn more about the opportunity.  I was at the BRAG Central Board meeting last night giving an update.  I think we have a core of influential players to help launch this western-based group.  The basis is not what you do but who you are.  We build from the human connection, and once the bonds are formed, we then help each other go and grow.

We plan to do two meetings virtually and then begin meeting in June in person, just like in 2019.  At our organizational meeting, every member but one was willing to meet in person, but now that one has become too busy to be a part of the group, I think our group will be 100% in person by June.  I suspect other humans to human, face-to-face opportunities to existing by June; that seems like the time people will be ready to get back to post COVID life.

One of our team members has an excellent opportunity to add some nice revenue to our firm.  I’ve been working on finding a few markets for this unique risk; I’ve not done that for a while; it was fun to play detective using technology, tools, and LinkedIn to find a home for his new account.  My mindset is that anything is possible if you put in the work; this event will be an excellent example to show others that you can find treasure if you dig long enough.

I think there is a lot of bounties to be found.  If you want to grow your wealth, there has never been a better time to invest, work hard and add to your chest of gold.  I looked at my crypto investments yesterday; I was shocked at the value.  Not only has my original investment doubled, but I’ve also been able to rake off the profits, so I seemed to have caught the rocket on its way up.  I use Coinbase as my platform and invested in some more Etherum last night.

Well, that’s enough.  Enough word soup by the man that grew up in the cornfields made it to the city, then another city, and then to the top of a mountain.   I hear others justify why they live in the valley, and I remember believing that the valley was the “bee’s knees,” but once I got some elevation under my feet, I realized that there is no better place for us to live than in the clouds.  Be kind, do a random act of kindness for one human today and watch as the ripples impact your community.
