Determination, Courage, and The Fair, but Just Life

Monday, my friend, welcome back; Sunday was here yesterday, she said to tell you hi. So Monday, "Hi" from Sunday. You look great; you always have a freshness about you; I'm glad you stopped by, grab some coffee and join me while I pen some thoughts and ideas.

We had a small gathering for our first anniversary. Eight of the original ten that made our wedding made it, and another couple and their son joined us to celebrate. The menu was ridiculous; one of our guests is an executive chef and made some bisque.

Everyone left at about five, we played Euchre and then watched some television. We got to bed early, I clocked 9 hours of sleep, and my OURA ring tells me that my readiness is at the optimal level, I can do what I want, I've got extra energy.

I've got a busy day; the third week of each month is my most active. I have three meetings, each starting at 7:30, each being about an hour drive, so I'll be getting up before five three days this week. Today I have an in-person meeting and a few virtual calls to get some projects moving forward.

It looks like war is raging in Europe, but they will have "fresh" talks today. I'm glad they are not having stale conversations. I think the fighting stopped the pandemic; very little information is spent on the virus; it's now rising gas prices and the war. Is it wrong to say I miss the pandemic? It seemed easier to be told to hibernate for 14 days to slow the spread.

Parker Van Halen has joined me; she just came down, walked around, and then plopped down on her beanbag. I don't think she is ready to get up. Bay and Cousin are still here; they will stay the week; our daughter gets in this week as well; they all fly out the following Monday; it will be just my wife and I wrapping up the month.

We watched Purdue and Iowa play yesterday, congrats Iowa and good luck to Purdue in the dance. Thursday is a holiday for many; I'll be working; if you take off the afternoon to enjoy the games, cheers, good luck to your team and your bracket selections, it's a fun time. Our house is listed for $2500.00 a night during march madness; if you travel to Indy, it's a nice place to hang your hat and within walking distance to the venue.

I started my "reasons I love you" notepad to begin our second year of marriage. I think this will be something I will do until I pass; it's good to share with the one you love why you still think they are the most beautiful person in the world. I pen a few words and then leave it by the coffee pot, so it's one of the first things she sees every day. Living life in love is a gift.

I love the Zappa quote; I see people try and play the victim card. I don't understand it, life is not fair, but it is just. We all have hurdles to overcome to live our best life, some loads are more significant than others, but I believe that you can achieve anything you set your mind to do with courage and determination. If you can dream it, you can do it; I'm living proof.

My wife is up; the pup is getting breakfast; I'll have to sneak my reasons I love you in later today. I trust you are well, that life is giving you as much as you can handle, and you are asking for more. You will never be asked to carry more than you can move, so don't get discouraged; when overwhelmed, take a few moments and focus on all the positive things in life. And remember, "don't let anyone tell you how to do your shit."
