Deeds Over Intention
"If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?"

Good morning, afternoon, evening, or whenever you find these words. It's about 65 degrees here, day 5 in Cabo; it gets hot during the day and cool and night and in the morning. We have established our daily routine; we get up and go for a walk getting a coffee with almond milk. Then, grab something lite to eat, put on our suits for a couple of hours by the pool, and then do a 3 to 5-mile walk of downtown Cabo stopping for a street taco. Then, we return, rest, get ready for dinner, have a nice meal, get home early and get to bed. I think we are getting about ten hours of sleep a night.
Yesterday we were sitting by the pool and met Randy and Darlene from Toronto; they are retired, she's 58, he's 62, there had a large construction business in Canada, sold it a few years back, a fun couple with some great stories. The marina is busy this morning; there are more boats than usual, many fishing boats, the yachts are stunning, a lot of activity for a Tuesday morning.
I suspect we will follow our playbook again today. First, I'll work a little cleaning up email, following up on a couple of claims, then we will go on about our recharging our batteries. It looks like the heat is getting turned up on my man Joe Rogan; when all else fails, call them a racist. I see they are doing the same thing to Howard Stern; it's not easy being a man of rose beige color these days. I have said it before, and I'll repeat it if everyone and everything is racist, nothing nor no one is racist. Real racism should be pointed out and taken to task. But Jussie proved the demand for racism is much greater than the supply once again.
I think it is supposed to hit 80 here today, I'm looking at the weather back in CO, and it shows 4 degrees; not a bad week to head south. I picked up a property magazine yesterday to try and figure out various price points for condos and homes; it's pretty affordable, and knowing we could Air B and B the property makes it a sound investment.
As we walk the city, I am usually asked about cigars; when I say no thank you, they say "weed?" I laugh; why me? What makes most street vendors approach and think I want weed. I've watched Midnight Express one too many times to buy any drugs in a foreign country; Cervasa is fine, thank you very much. If you have never watched the movie and think it might be a good move to buy some drugs or try and smuggle drugs into a foreign land, you will change your mind.
This trip's food has been exceptional; I must share we were underestimating this resort. We had been here back during the election of 2016 and did not have fond memories, but they have cleaned up the property new restaurants; it might be our favorite of the 62 properties we can visit.
It's my son's birthday today; 27 years ago, a five-pound six-ounce little peanut showed in Ball Memorial Hospital. He didn't cry until we got him home, and then he wailed for a couple of days. His mother and I frantically looked up what was wrong in our baby book; it seems he just wanted us to know he was home. He now has his kid and another on the way; I think we will have a party in May; his daughter just got a slew of instruments from Jenny and Me; I think Maylynn might be the next Janis Joplin.
Well, there you go, another brief minor update about my days in Cabo San Lucas; it's magical here, and it might be a place for our next home. Time will tell, it's nice to have options, and I could see us spending a couple of months here as we get older. We feel safe; we don't stay out late; we get up early and enjoy the warm days, using the nights to relax and sleep like babies.
I hope you are doing well; I hope you are enjoying life; I trust you have a bright future in front of you and if not, make a small change or two to get your life moving in the direction you want life to move. A friend sent me this, and I thought it reasonable to share. The smallest deed is better than the grandest intention. Dirty deeds are done dirt cheap (Dishonest John reference.)
