Censorship, Misinformation, Speed Bumps, Running on Faith
Beloved, God knows what you are going through. To walk by faith and not by sight is not always easy. But it truly is a beautiful journey. It allows you to grow and deepen your trust in your Heavenly Father. He will take good care of you and use you faithfully into his divine will. Some things in life are out of your control, but the Lord is sovereign, and he loves you ardently. He abounds in grace, kindness, and unfailing love. And he continually watches over you from heaven above. So do not dwell on what you can currently see. Instead, walk by faith and not by sight. For the Lord can do mighty wonders within your life, at his perfect appointed time. – Devona Fayana
Let's see what the universe has in store for us today! We got some bad news yesterday, I won't elaborate, but we've been getting hit in the face lately; it's unusual, but pressure forms diamonds. Of course, it is nothing that we will not overcome, but if today, a Saturday, could be filled with peace and normalcy, I would be thankful.
I started my day at the condo, wrote some soup, and then jumped on my reset and reboot leadership call. We talked about misinformation and what that word meant to each of us. It was a rousing discussion; I'm thankful for the group.
We got ready to leave and loaded up our gear; we met Melissa, our dog sitter, at 10:20; I would drive separately and pick up a power cord for my laptop. Unfortunately, my car has a flat tire and has to get charged after sitting idle for three months; I made plans to come back on Monday and get my vehicle, but it's one more little setback, another pinch.
We picked up Parker Van Halen, and it was damn good to see her. She was happy, wagging her tail; I think she missed us too. After that, we went to the grocery and headed up the hill; we were to get 7 inches of snow starting at 1:00; I canceled my lunch; I'm not a fan of mountain road driving in the ice and snow.
We got home after not finding a cord for my laptop; it took me 2 hours to reset an old laptop to use for the next three days until my cable arrives in the mail. During my setup, I got three messages telling me my word soup had been taken down for violation of SubStacks terms of service. Although I use SubStack due to their open terms of service, I honestly questioned, what the hell was in that soup that must be taken down?
Once I got my email set up, I headed over to SubStack and inquired about what was not allowed in my work? About 30 minutes later, I got this from the company.

In a time of censorship, I'm glad that a company allows a second chance a review. I thank SubStack for their review and always try and be responsible with my content, meaning that I only use trusted sources and give my heartfelt thoughts and ideas about our current situation.
We worked until about 4:00; with the day we had, we had a drink and mulled getting in the hot tub during the snowstorm; we opted to stay in, make a large pot of chili and watch some music. We got to bed early, we both slept great; my wife is in bed loving on the pup, my cat is by my side watching and wondering what I do every morning.
I am not sharing our ills for sympathy, more than letting others know that things are not always perfect, even when living a charmed life. Bumps form in the road, you hit them, maybe pop a tire, but if you keep your nose to the grindstone, things always work out. So that is my plan, put my head down and find solutions to our minor issues. I ask you to do the same.
Not much is going on in the news; we have not watched a single moment of the Olympics have no interest. However, we have work to do, and that is where our focus is for the coming few weeks; we have regained some footing, I'm looking forward to our future.
It's a winter wonderland outside; I think that hot tub is calling our name; before we left, I bought some large plush robes to keep us warm before and after getting in the tub. So we will sit this morning and have some coffee, enjoying the sun, the snow, and the various creatures that are now beginning to wake from their winter slumber.
This is a time of rebirth, a time of change and understanding; A time where we can learn from our past mistakes and move forward with a new experience of joy and happiness. I spoke to my daughter briefly yesterday in between tech calls. She's lovely; she sent me the quote I used to start and finish this soup; it's times like these I begin running on faith to help guide me to the next promised land.
