Hey there, how are you? I’m fine, thank you for asking. It’s hump day; a camel kiss woke me up; Joleen is making sure the world knows she is alive. I woke up with her and PVHT sleeping together. If a dog and cat can become friends, there is hope for humanity. I sleep great, early to bed, early to rise, I have a full day, time to make some doughnuts.

I had a great day yesterday; I worked from home and then headed north to meet my friend Trevor. We’ve been friends since we were 13; he’s achieved some success in his life, now has a couple of homes, is dating a young lady, and his kids are great, and it’s funny to think of where we came from where we are as adults. Both of us outkicked our coverage.

So I write many words, and sometimes I miss the mark. I missed the spot yesterday and got a call from my long-time friend Jason, he said I had hurt him, and I want to apologize to him; I never intend to hurt others with my daily bullshit. It’s what I call this, just so you know, my everyday bullshit; I write bullshit, let it breathe, and then get up and do it the next day. I suspect my words about his parent company offering suspect children’s books were the cause of his concern. I’m sorry, buddy; I’ll try and do better.  

I just got a fraud alert for my credit card, someone at 5;14 a.m. tried to buy something at Sam’s Annex. I’m not sure what Sam’s annex is, but it was not me; at 5:14, my eyes were closed, and I was snuggled next to my beautiful wife. I like Chase bank, they seem to take care of us, and their online banking is excellent.  

Another school shooting, an 18-year-old in Texas, killed 14 kids and a teacher.  I don’t understand that level of evil; I know it exists, and maybe it’s just how we must live these days, but damn, what are we doing?  I’m sure the media will deem him a white supremacist, and maybe he was it’s interesting the framing of the various news events. Well, I just pulled up my ground news app and learned that the number is now 19 children; how horrific.

A government is planning to help households deal with the rising costs of everything from gas to hamburgers. I pulled up the article and found this was not our government but the government of the UK. My first thought was, how can our government fund anything being 30 trillion dollars in debt, I’ve said it before, but if I ran our company like the government, I would be in jail for life. Rules for thee, but not for me.

It's my ex-wife’s birthday; I’ll send her a text, she’s a year older than me. My daughter and her husband were down this past Sunday, and she gave them a gift to give to me. My sister and I would go to my Aunt Tee Tee’s as a child and drink Pepsi from green plastic cups. My ex saw a similar cup and purchased them for me; I love my ex-wife; she’s the mother of my children and one of the most beautiful humans on the planet. Happy birthday Jodi.

My birthday is tomorrow; I turn 53, that’s old; I’m now an old man with aging parents, a senior sister, and grown-up adult kids. I have three grandkids, and I suspect more will be on the way; I think we will have eight grandchildren before it’s all over; I can’t wait to see how they thrive and strive.

My friend Joshua gets in today from CO, I met Joshua on a rooftop bar back in 2016, and we both said: “I like your energy,” and we have been friends since that day. He’s one of the most interesting humans I have the pleasure of knowing, very insightful, wicked brilliant, a natural-born leader, and visionary. He’s started a couple of companies; I’m excited to show him our other home.

My friend and coach of the Monroe Central Bear undefeated basketball season have taken a job at Muncie Central.  He will guide that time, and I suspect he will have a lot of success. I got a call from a friend this past season, and he asked, “what the hell is going on at Monroe Central? How did they get so good?” I said vital family values matter. Justin Ullom is one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting during my time on this planet. I wish him tremendous success in his new role, and on behalf of the Monroe Central Community would like to say, “thanks for the memories, Coach!”

I need to roll; I have a lot of work to do; I’m heading to Muncie to see my friend Doc Wilhoite and get my teeth cleaned. I’m having lunch with my daughter for my birthday and will head back home to meet up with Joshua and my wife. A busy day, a lot going on in our world, it’s all good, and I could not have dreamed my life would be this fantastic. I’m blessed, lucky, and don’t take anything for granted; I know that today might be my last and if so, I thank something bigger than myself for allowing me to enjoy my time on this spinning blue ball.
