Cabo Investment Property, Craft Moutain Water, Billy Joel in Vegas, The Purpose of Life

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, or whenever you find these words. Fabolous weekend, lots of friend time, relaxing, napping, catching up on some work, and a nice hike to cap off the weekend. I had an idea on Friday; I’m working to see if it has any legs; I thought I would share how my mind works with you today.

I have two projects bouncing around in my head; the first is investigating an investment property in Cabo San Lucas. I have a realtor in the area I got from my friend Greg who also lives there. I’ve never bought a property in a foreign land; this will be interesting.

My second idea or project will take time, but I think it would be fun to execute. Most don’t know, but a friend and I had a small winery out of our home years ago. We had a vineyard; we made wine and gave it away to friends and family under Jerande’. It was fun. My divorce put a nail in that coffin. All my winery goods were sold for about $500.00, but I learned a lot about making wine.  

I’ve shared that I love Liquid Death Water; it’s still and sparkling water you can purchase at Whole Foods, 7-11, and on Amazon. I only drink Liquid Death when in Indiana; I use it for daily coffee, hydration; I buy it by the case and enjoy the water quality from the alps.  

When we bought our mountain house, I was blown away by our water quality. I think it is better than Liquid Death; at 8232 feet above sea level, our mountain aquifer is pristine. So I have this crazy idea to hire a water engineer and see how it might be possible to begin making my craft water. Craft beer took the country by storm the last decade, and I’m betting on craft water to be a thing.

I looked online; I have a call set up with aluminum can company; I think I can get 12 oz cans at .9 cents. The company has capping machines; I want this venture to be environmentally friendly. If I can pull this off, I will have to select local places in CO and IN that offer this small-batch water, which will be expensive.

The can will be tie-dye, the name of the water is something I’m mulling. But, Conifer Moutain Water, Morrison Mountain Water, Lobo Moutain Water, it’s a silly little project, and I’ll need to lean on my friend Bret and Tia in Florida, who sold their aluminum can winery last year. But, I like to dream little dreams now and then.

I have a real job, I run a company, and it’s pretty busy today. I’ve got a meeting with my business coach and management team; I’m setting up two interviews for an opening we have. I’m having lunch with another agency owner to pick his brain, and he picks mine. Bay is still here; she will stay another week.

We had an idea on Friday to see Billy Joel in Vegas this Saturday; I did the research and pulled the trigger Saturday morning, scoring the tickets, flight, and hotel for next weekend. We fly out Friday morning and return Sunday night; it’s one of the most irresponsible things we have done. We did all this without having a dog sitter; that box is now checked; I’ll be writing from Sin City later this week.

As my friend Matt likes to say, “Live Right Fucking Now.”  The older I get, the more I want to invest in memories over stuff, stuff is nice, but memories last forever. Speaking of Matt, we met him and his wife Deb and Dave and Nicole at our favorite brunch spot in Conifer. We usually dine at the Perk; we’ve got to know the staff, the food is excellent, as are the mimosas!

We attempted to get our toes done, but they were busy, so we will knock that out this week or maybe in Vegas. My wife and I came home, and she prepped food for the week; Bay and I played Gin; it was an early night for all. I’m rested and ready to roll. I will claim victory in our last joust to 1000 points, but she leads this round.

To recap, working on an investment property in a foreign land, working on a crazy-ass idea to can craft mountain water, heading to Vegas on Friday, and I’ll be jamming out some good work this week. I’ve got a claim I’m working on, will be pushing that forward, a tiny little project as well. I hope your life is silly like mine, I hope you find a little inspiration in my life as I find inspiration in others. My question to you is “What would you name your own craft water?”
