Brit Floyd at Red Rocks, CDC Madness, COVID Continimum, The 4th Reich

Happy Friday, you made it through the gauntlet; how did you fair?  We came out unscathed, with no scars to show, a couple of bruises, but we will live to fight another day.  Warning, I might trigger you, so if you have some mental issues or don’t like facts, please stop reading; you have been warned.

But before I get into my rant, let me share with you what may be the best show I’ve seen at Red Rocks. Of course, living 23 minutes from the world’s most excellent venue allows us to see some fantastic performances, but last night, my friend Knight and his bride invited us to Brit Floyd.  His brother scored 17th-row center stage seats for us; we got there and got a drink and sat down.

As we started to sit with our friends I heard someone scream my name, I looked up and saw a client, a wizard, so we headed up and hugged him and met his new girlfriend and other friends.  As we were chatting with the Wizard, we saw 8 of our friends two rows up. So we headed up and gave them hugs before returning to our seats.

The band started at 8:00 and played until 11:00; the show was unbelievable.  A 6 piece band with three women backup singers, their interpretation of Pink Floyd, dare I say, was better than the original.  It’s as if they have taken the Mona Lisa and gave her a genuine smile.  If Brit Floyd is within an hour drive, do not miss the show, I will see them annually here, and if you want to see what all the fuss is about, check this out:

I’ve got some pro tips I’ll share about Red Rocks.  Number one, the best place to park is the Upper South Lot; get there early, pick your spot and bring a chair or two and people watch; it’s incredible. Second, Red Rocks is a workout; if you are not in good shape, expect some stops as you climb up the ramp to the venue.  It will take your breath away.  Make sure you go up top and explore after finding your seat. Finally, we have an 80% rule; since we got to bed early, we leave about 10:30 to get home by 11:00.  As you leave, there is always a Chick FilA truck with steaming hot chicken sandwiches.  $8.00 is a small price to pay for glorious goodness.

We got home and hit the bed; we slept in until 7:00; we’ve got a full day of work before heading back with our friends Jack and Allie to see Tedeschi Trucks; we’ve seen them before at RR; they are a fantastic show.

Alright, if your tummy is sore or your brain is not strong, stop reading.  The CDC’s new “guidelines” are based on a study done in India.  The study is on a vaccine that is not used in our United States.  There is no data to suggest we should be wearing masks inside; the new rules are a sham.  It’s a power grab, plain and simple.  Cases are up; deaths are about 300 a day; Alzheimer’s kills more people than COVID at this point.

I’ve noticed a COVID continuum; since everything is polarized today, let’s use 50%. So 50% of the people are keenly aware of the above data; they know this is political theater and will continue to live their lives mask-free.  The other 50% have bought into the fear porn of our current administration and will return to wearing a mask. So to those mask wearers, I think you are virtue signaling your team as we, the mask-free, are also virtue-signaling our team.  There is zero data to suggest if you are vaccinated, you should wear a mask. 

I’m vaccinated, and I got vaccinated so I could return to everyday life. However, if you watch the compendium of the most fantastic doctor named Tony, you will see him flip-flop many times on many issues.  He claims the science is changing, but it’s not; he’s a tool of those that want power. Many are pushing back; many school systems are making a firm stance that they will not abuse their children by making them wear a mask.

Is it possible that this pandemic has been about exercising more control feeding on some people’s fears and allegiance to those in power?  Folks, they are lying to you, and we need other voices to stand up and say WTF?  Don’t believe everything you hear, do a little research and make up your mind about how you want to live your life.

I shared a pie chart on Facebook yesterday.  It was a comparison between what concerns me COVID or losing my constitutional rights.  1% was COVID, and 99% was the loss of my rights; this is a time where our God Given freedoms are being taken away at the whim of a man that does not seem to be able to speak with intelligence.

I am guessing that the Urban centers will follow the edicts of the 4th Reich, and our rural areas will live in reality.  You do you, and I’ll do me, and forever we can both be free.  If you live in a city, I’m sorry, it might be time to rethink your geographic location.  We now spend a lot of time in a mountain community of patriots and freedom fighters.  The amount of guns and ammo in our society is akin to a small army.  If our liberties are removed, most will not go quietly. 

I’m sorry if my words sting you; maybe you are buying into the false narrative; I encourage you to do a little digging, look up the death rate and see that this is a sham.  There is talk of another lockdown if “the science” shows it needs to be done.  Schools may return, but the teacher’s unions are fans of having their members ever return to work.   Always remember that wolves ignore the opinion of sheep.  Are you going to howl or sit in a field and wait for direction from the 4th Reich?
