Bo Anson, A Neuron's Cell Phone, Good and Evil
"When I despair, I remember that all through history, the way of truth and love have always won. Of course, there have been tyrants and murderers, and they can seem invincible for a time, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always."

6:01 a.m., I'm wide awake in America! I had a great night of sleep; I have seven appointments today; I like to keep busy. So I suspect we will go on a hike, head down the hill for some basics and then cook together and wind down our day.
We watched the State of the Union; I like that masks are no longer a thing. It was good to see the president and congress maskless, and I think it signals a move back to 2019. Three years of lost liberty is enough; freedom is ringing.
I did find it interesting that Biden is pushing workers out of their homes and back to work. As an owner of a company, the work from the home model for our financial services company has allowed us to expand our talent base countrywide. I don't see us returning to an all-office scenario. Covid gave us the gift of thinking and working differently.
I ran an interview with a 20-year veteran of the insurance industry. She has been with the same firm for 17 years and recently decided to look around for a new opportunity. Of course, I would have never thought to look 1000 miles from our offices for a new teammate, but "Sally" looks to be a strong culture fit, and she has shown strong loyalty. So our team will do a second interview, and if she passes that step, we will do some testing and then make her an offer.
My son texted me last night; they are working on names for their baby due this month. His wife is doing great; I look forward to seeing them when home. Our daughter, who is also having a baby, is thinking of naming her kid Bo Anson, so that is cool. My wife is throwing her a shower next month; she will reveal her final choice.
The sunrise is stunning, I would take a picture, but it won't do what we can see justice. My wife is awake; she usually scrolls through her phone and then gets up; the pup gets up with her, they come down, the puppy goes out, and then gets breakfast—a sound morning routine.
A shout out to Shark Vacuum company, the robot we bought in May quit working. After a video of the unit not working, I dialed customer service, sent me a brand new replacement. I asked what I should do with the old one, and they said, "keep it." So I think I'll tear it apart and use the parts to build something, or maybe I'll throw it in a closet and forget about it.
It's sunny again today; it looks to get up to about 65 degrees; our weather has been excellent. It looks like we will get some snow Saturday and Sunday, not much; spring is making its way to our mountain top.
I was asked to write a blog for our company website, they gave me a keyword, and I spew 300 words about a topic. I wrote about insurance early in my career, but penning thoughts and ideas about insurance is not my favorite topic. Instead, I prefer to write about life, freedom, and happiness. But I'll take one for the team and do my part to help keep our website on the first page for our keywords.
I've got to get to work; I just got a text from a client with an issue; I'll grab my cape and get it fixed; it's an excellent little challenge to start my day. I hope your day is filled with chaos and order, a nice balance to keep you on your feet and your mind sharp. I lived many years in an orderly life, and recently chaos came to town. I like a little confusion; it keeps my synapses firing. A synapse is the neuron's iPhone.
I hope you have a great day; I hope you take time to reflect on how blessed you are, how wonderful life is, and if you have some issues, work on them, take a little step towards where you want your life to land. Of course, it is up to you how you view every situation you experience; who's to say what is good and evil?
