Greetings from Goodland, KS; we are staying in a lovely tiny two-bedroom, newly remodeled home with a fenced back yard for PVHT.  I’m sitting on the back porch; it’s nice out, the doves are singing, multiple large grain bins sit to my right.  I’m surrounded by tiny homes, much like you would see in Beautiful Parker City, Indiana.  It’s 5:30 a.m., my wife is in bed; I’m going to sip some coffee and share some thoughts.  Trigger warning.

We went to the Crazy R for dinner last night; this town’s population is about 4000 people.  As we sat at the bar, something began grinding my gears. When we sat down, there was no one at the bar, sans a young man in a green shirt that was on his phone behind the bar.  No greeting, just him scrolling.  I thought, maybe he is on his break?  As the night continued, we got excellent service; we struck up conversations with the many waitresses.   The green shirt kid just stood behind the bar and did nothing as everyone else busted their ass.

As we began to leave, I asked about the green shirt lad.  Was he the owner’s son? Why was he able to just do nothing?  She explained that the owners were kind, trying to help the kid by giving him a job, but honestly, he was worthless.  The longer I sat there, the angrier I got; his shirt read, “I’d rather be gaming.”  I’m sure you would green shirt; you are a drain on society.

Wait, I’ve learned that is my sabotage brain; how would my sage brain deal with this situation. I’m curious as to what is so interesting on his phone?  Maybe green shirt is in a group of other green shirts trying to cure cancer. Perhaps he is preventing the next pandemic using his phone while on his job making minimum wage.  Sorry, the kid should be fired; the owners are not doing him any favors allowing him to occupy space when others would love an opportunity to prove themselves.  Rant over.

We drove about 8 hours yesterday, a little longer than usual, but today we have a short 3-hour trip home.   We will arrive, unpack, enjoy our house.  Tomorrow we are taking PVHT for a hike; we will ease back into mountain life, get groceries, go to the tractor supply store, and see some friends.  We reached out to a few folks letting them know of our arrival; tragedy has struck our little town.  There was an outbreak of COVID last week; a couple of businesses shut down, our neighbor is infected, we’re returning to a hot spot.  We are fully vaccinated, no worries on our side, but sad for our friends suffering from the China Virus.  Grammarly just noted my term was tinged, suggested I use WHO aligned language; the WOKE have infiltrated every aspect of our lives.  Remember the Spanish flu?

As we drove across the country, I was reminded of how damn beautiful our country is.  It’s now common to bitch, moan, and complain about our great country, but I’ll remind you it is one of the most beautiful places on this earth.  As we drove, we would encounter many people of all shapes, sizes, and colors. All were kind, a “hey, good morning, or what’s up” were all said as we got gas, walked our pup, or stopped at Starbucks for our Venti Iced Coffee and breakfast sandwich.

Our country is a melting pot of ideas, people, and we have the freedom to do anything we choose.  I was struck with the rising cost of gas and rampant inflation reports, but the people have spoken, the majority like higher taxes and inflation and a doddering older man who regularly goes to war with teleprompters; I’m in the minority. Peace in the middle east has been replaced with war; white supremacy is the greatest threat to humanity since the civil war, and the country is racist.  Those are not my words, those are not my ideas, that is the trash being spewed by the mainstream media, do not buy into the lies, we live in the greatest country in the world, but we are flawed.

I’ll double down on the fact that Faccui is an asshole; he lied, he and others ruined the best economy we had in 50 years.  He will be admonished; his emails now show a great possibility that gain of function research as to blame for the loss of millions of lives and our economic downturn.  History will not be kind to those that turned a blind eye to the reality of our situation, now is a time for the reckoning.  

It’s now been proven that big tech is suppressing facts; they tag people with differing opinions.  I don’t care if you get vaccinated or not; you do you, I’ll do me, but for a third party to dismiss an opinion not aligned with the narrative does not seem like an American thing to do. Most of us see the truth; the sheep continue their “bah, bah, bah” as wolves gain strength.  Join me tonight in howling at the moon; it’s just a matter of time before the correction; I’ve got my popcorn; this should be fun.

Cities with woke policy continue to raise taxes and lose people to cities and states with more conservative leadership.  A shift is occurring; you can now vote with your feet and move to an area you feel aligns with your ideals and values. 

I live in both a red state and a purple state; both leadership groups are moderate; I’ll stick around, but if things move left, I’ll move to a state and city that shares my view of what our country is, was, and always will be.
