"Things like racism are institutionalized. You might not know any bigots. You feel like, "well, I don't hate black people, so I'm not a racist," but you benefit from racism, just by the merit, your skin color. The opportunities that you have, you're privileged in ways that you might not even realize because you haven't been deprived of certain things. We need to talk about these things for them to change."
— Dave Chappelle

Good morning, friends, brothers, mothers, lovers, and others; I love you all. How are you? How was your day? We spent our day with our daughter, tending to her and Bo. Nick is in Florida, so we are taking some time to support the new Mom; her mother-in-law spent the night last night. Cousin is set to return home today, and I suspect we will be spending some time there later this week.

I’ve got a semi-busy day with meetings at ten and noon and then working on a project that consumes all my time.  The news cycle was a flurry yesterday with the leak of the SCOTUS ruling on Roe. The media went crazy, and I heard an interesting conspiracy theory. The reason for the leak had nothing to do with SCOTUS.  It had everything to do with the second drop of the 55,000 pages of the Pfizer papers and the data contained in those papers.

I searched last night and could not locate the new data; I said a conspiracy theory, but something to consider.  Keep your eye out for the Pfizer documents; I hear the vaccine might not be as safe as once thought.  Speaking of safe, Dave Chappelle was attacked last night on stage for his comedy. That seems right; you can get slapped if you say something others do not like.

Now and then, I get something from friends, mainly Barret, that I read and think is in line with my work. Yesterday he sent me something I would like to share. It is my view but written by another human. Without further ado, here is something I think you will enjoy.

We are each responsible for our conduct."

People deal with their dreams in three ways: Accuse, excuse, or choose.

Accusers spend their entire lives blaming others for why they haven’t achieved their dreams. Excusers make excuses for why they are not living their dreams.

Choosers do what it takes to live their dreams.

The ability to choose is the quintessential characteristic that separates people from animals. It’s one of humanity’s greatest gifts. But since free choice means you can make bad choices, it’s also your greatest curse.

Choosers take responsibility for their choices and the direction of their lives. They don’t blame others or make excuses. “We are each responsible for our conduct.”

Instead of complaining that you haven’t achieved your dreams, take responsibility for what hasn’t been done. Your good and bad choices have a far more significant impact on your ability to achieve your goals than any other factor.

I’ve met people who were given nothing but achieved far beyond their dreams. I’ve also met people who were given everything they needed and wanted on a silver platter yet wasted their lives.

You can’t control your circumstances. But you can control how you respond to those circumstances.

“The lazy man is full of excuses.” Don’t be that person. Stop making excuses for your unrealized dreams.

Today, choose to do something about the dreams God has given you.

– Rick Warren

I could not have said it better myself, Mr. Warren; thank you for your logic and thoughts. I hope you choose to have a great day and that you appreciate others who take personal responsibility for their dreams, ideas, and actions. Remove the whiney, hateful, angry people from your life and choose instead to live with joyful, happy, and enlightened people that will help you enjoy this thing we call life.
