“Don’t raise your voice; improve your argument.”

Monday Monday, Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah.  How are you? It’s early here; I’m up, my wife is asleep with our dog, and my cousin is in his suite. I’ve got a busy day of appointments, running here and there; it should be a good day; we will land here tonight for a home-cooked meal and enjoy the next episode of Yellowstone.

We went on a walk with PVHT yesterday; we headed to our local bakery Amelia’s; it’s a pretty fantastic spot, daily-made fresh bread, various salads cheeses; it’s a local treasure.  They have an online menu; you can find that here:

We arrived home and met up with Cousin; we caught up about our week and walked to the Dugout for lunch and watched the Colts game. Our friends Rick and Saundra joined us, and we had a lovely time eating and sipping on some nourishment. Finally, we came home, I made some steak in the Instapot, and we had tacos and watched some tube before heading to bed to get our 9 hours of sleep.

I’m going to do some prospecting today; it’s my new gig, not for clients but teammates. I’ve got my first person on the bench, willing to join our team when we have an opening; I’m going to craft a deep bench so as we grow, we can slot new hires in that already have experience and want to work for a fun culture. In addition, we are looking to expand internationally with another engagement in the Philippines. So if you need some additional labor and want quality work, I can connect you with an excellent connection for international support.

I guess there is a discussion of unwinding Roe V Wade. So, I’ll weigh in on this hot topic; I believe in women’s right to choose. But I also think you’re killing a baby.  Can those two thoughts exist simultaneously?  I was having a conversation via text with a new friend.  He had dropped a wisdom bomb on me, and I took it to heart.

He had started reading my work and drew a parallel between my personal growth and evolution and my concern about the confederate statues being removed. He asked if the country was evolving as I matured and became its true self.  I think that is what may be happening with Roe.  Is it time to grow to meet the times?  Medical care has changed over the last 40 years; one can now sustain a baby’s life after 21 weeks outside the womb.

I think fifteen weeks is a little thin, I still believe it is a child, but it could not sustain itself outside the womb, you are still killing a baby, but that’s a choice.  I hear some say that men should not have an opinion on this topic.  I don’t understand that; I made babies, I was as invested as my wife in the development of a child, I think I can share my “2 sense.”

Breaking news, Red Rocks, our neighborhood music venue, was named the top-grossing and most attended concert venue of any size anywhere in the world for 2021.  We made it to ten shows, and roughly one million people made it there in 2021. In addition, there were 233 ticketed events, 177 concerts, 20 yoga/fitness programs, and 36 movies shown in the Film on the Rocks series.  Gross ticket revenue was sixty million.

One of the reasons we bought our mountain top chalet was its proximity to Red Rocks.  Our home is roughly 25 minutes away; we make the drive if a show pops up we want to see.  We tailgate, see 75% of the show, then head home.  We did stay the entire night of Bill Burr, a rarity for our old souls.  We have already begun buying tickets for next year; if you are headed out, shoot us a message, and we might join you for a bit of tailgate action!

I reached out to our Air B and B manager; we put up our home every weekend for a small lottery win. So if someone wants to stay in our home close to downtown Indy, we will take a quick trip or stay with friends and family.  We never dreamed this asset would create the return we can now realize due to its proximity to the convention center.   To view the listing, click here:

I hope you have a great week; I trust my words have not harmed you.  If they did, I’m sorry; I’m just sharing the rumblings of my mind.  I think it’s time for honest, kind, and robust conversation.  Remember, you do not learn from those you agree with; you learn and grow from those with a different opinion or idea about a particular subject. So go into every situation knowing you could be wrong and listen to others share their views.  I don’t think social media is a good place for discussion; I think the best way to cess out a broader mind is to sit next to someone and listen with an open mind. Cheers!
