A Vessel of Learning and Loving
“The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled.”

6:30 a.m., I apologize; I slept in. We have some visitors at our hours, Woody and his lovely lady, Dirk, Matt, Bay, and Nate. We had a lovely evening last night, and our average 9:00 p.m. bedtime was missed by a couple of hours. Everyone arrived about 6:00; Woody cooked fish and broccoli; I whipped out our hot dog machine and made bison dogs with steamed buns. We dined in our Sherpa Training room and then headed back to the kitchen, where we shared stories.
I slept like a rock; as of this moment, my friend Matt is up, PVHT is sitting between us, the coffee is rich, dark, and powerful, and in about an hour, we will have a house full of 12 men for our monthly men’s group known as FOGG. Once a month, we, 14 men and one woman, check in on each other. It’s a powerful time, a sacred space; we use the teachings of Leslie Jone’s Spiral Method. I encourage you to check out her work; it’s next-level juju.
I’m teaching today; Bay had set up a second session for one of our clients; I’ve got an eye doctor’s appointment later day; it’s another packed day for this average white guy. We plan on hiking with some friends tomorrow, attending a BBQ with another friend, celebrating five years with our friend and business coach Saturday night, and brunching with our friend and wife on Sunday.
I realized last night our mission is to use our home as an entertainment machine. Bringing together thought leaders, good people to converse about topics of life, liberty, and happiness. Over time, this space will be transformed from a home into a vessel of learning and loving.
Well, I have many thoughts, but I think I’ll save those for another day. I want to share a podcast I joined a few weeks ago. I flew back to Indy for a spell, and my friends invited me to join them. You can listen to our chat here:

I found it interesting that they labeled it Anson Ross Thompson – Author. I’ve never had that label used; I’m honored; maybe I’ll release my next book in the coming weeks. Time will tell.
Ok, short soup, just a little mind dump; I’ve got a house full I need to tend to my guests. I’ll see you all tomorrow, be good, be kind and do something that would make your mama proud.
