5:58 a.m., I got my 9 hours of glorious sleep, and here I am, coffee is made, my pup is outside, Joleen is talking to me, and my wife is asleep. A peek into my current world.  How is your life? Do you have a packed day? I’ve got four appointments, and then will ease into the weekend?

I headed up to our Indy office and then took my wife to meet a friend at Torcy’s Tacos. We eat at Torcy’s in Denver all the time; I had no idea there was one in Indy; I strongly recommend Torcy’s Taco’s when at exit 205.

I dropped my wife at our Indy office and headed home; I worked from my magical purple writing chair, took my pup for a walk, and waited for Granny to arrive. We had a little supper, a little wine, and watched a couple of shows before hitting bed before 9:00. I slept like a rock waking up at about 5:30 and thinking I should get up.

How about that economic report, our GDP was a negative 1.4%? Why? According to the media, it’s the pandemic’s fault, but I think the failed policy is why. Also, the spin is that “underlying measures were solid.”  It’s interesting the framing of our world today. Something seems amiss.

We are not alone; in the “Eurozone,” growth is slowing, and inflation is at a record high. This begs the question: Is it a failed policy, or is the world a bit of funk? All I know is inflation is out of control, the fed is increasing interest rates, and there seems to be a diversion campaign against the way, truth, and light. Please don’t focus on the economy; we need to send 33 billion to Ukraine to help protect their borders. Wait, what about our borders? Is anyone else paying attention?

I was listening to NPR the other day, and the program was about masks and how if you don’t wear one, you are not part of the greater good. According to the “experts,” you should still be wearing a mask to protect others. Many people called in and shared they would wear their masks indefinitely, which is fine; don’t get mad that I won’t be wearing one.

People who took out loans for college are going to get some relief. Forget about the impact on inflation; Old Joe will help his base and waive debts people took on in good faith. What were we thinking? Some of us saved and paid for our kid’s college?

My real estate partner called me the other day. He was heading to the courthouse to provide the documentation of our gifting a building to our community. He called that someone had stolen the catalytic converter from his R.V. and drained his gas tank as he was driving. As he said, “you try and do the right thing, which is what happens.” Crime is out of control; sirens buzz around our neighborhood as I type these words.

Well, I’ve shared a lot of bad news, so let me see if I can wrap this up on a positive note. Baby Bo is home; he and his parents are doing well. It’s almost May, and our weather has been fantastic. We closed on our condo yesterday, and the money is in the bank. Our little purchase turned into an excellent investment; cash is king.

Time to make the doughnuts; I’ve got a lot to do and plenty of time. I will have a great day because I choose to view my day as significant. It is up to you to decide how you will frame your world, your life; if you are positive, things will be positive; if you whine, bitch, and moan, you can live in misery. We will dance for my tribe and me while others will whine and cry about things out of their control.
